Apprentice Playwrights Program (Internship)

Wide Eyed Productions is now accepting submissions for its Apprentice Playwrights Program. Playwrights will work with Wide Eyed throughout the 2011-12 season on various aspects of their writing careers. WEP will provide the playwrights with workshop and reading opportunities as well as career development support. Playwrights will also serve as administrative/production interns for the 2011-12 season.

WEP will be taking on 3 apprentice playwrights for the 2011-12 season. The playwrights will receive the following:

workshop opportunities for one act plays
access to WEP’s stable of ridiculously talented actors
staged reading(s) of a one act play in front of an invited audience
mediated and structured audience feedback sessions after readings
sponsorship into playwrighting competitions (possible production support if accepted)
career development coaching
industry contacts
insight into production process
mentorship from both WEP’s Artistic Director and Resident Playwright
opportunity to work with WEP’s new devised work program
